We are a husband and wife team, Martin & Linda Bird.

FULL TIME Professional Photographers.

Martin Bird Photography was established in 1995.



We have over 20 years experience and have covered over 500 weddings.

We have all of the necessary insurances required by law to work on location at all Churches, Hotels and other wedding venues.


Our insurances include £5 million Public liability and £75000 Professional Indemnity Insurance.


Our Equipment

We use high quality Professional Cameras and lenses and all of our kit is thoroughly checked before each Wedding.

Just in case of equipment failure we always carry spare kit with us.

After the Wedding we edit the image using Professional Image editing software on colour calibrated computers and screens. This enables us to produce the best quality images for print or digital use.


Peace of Mind

After your wedding your images are backed up on at least 3 different hard drives at 2 different locations and we keep you original images for a minimum of 10 years

What area do you cover?

Our main area of coverage for Wedding Photography is Peterborough and the surrounding area, although we will cover the whole of the UK and consider overseas commissions as well. Our most popular areas for Wedding Photography are Peterborough, Market Deeping, Stamford, Oakham, Spalding, Bourne, Oundle, Huntingdon, Cambridge and St Neots.


Can we meet you and see your work?

Yes, I can visit you in your home or at another venue. I can show you samples of our albums and Wedding photos taken at many of the main Wedding venues.


Do you do a CD only package?

Yes we do and this starts at £795 including Professional photography coverage.


How much do we have to pay as a deposit?

The deposit is £100 and this saves the date in our diary for your Wedding.


What happens before the Wedding?

We go through a detailed booking form and time table with you so we know exactly who is doing what, where and when.


How do you know what photos we want?

We give you an example shooting list to look over and then sit down with you to discuss exactly what you would like and the style you would like.


What if you don’t know our Wedding venue?

If we have not shot a Wedding at your chosen venue we will visit in advance and check over the site to find best places for taking the photos and take test shots to show you.


How long will the photos take?

We aim to get the best possible quality shots in the least possible time so as not to take you away from your Wedding party for long. Planning is essential and with our list of your chosen shots ready to hand we are able to cover a lot in a short time.


What if it rains?

We always carry Professional Studio flash equipment just in case the weather turns bad. This means that although we may have to go indoors we will still get some great Professional images. And of course we wil already have a wet weather plan!


What if your camera fails?

No problem we always carry spare equipment with us just in case.


What if you are ill and cannot do our Wedding?

We work very closely with a few other Full Time Professional Wedding Photographer and within our circle we are able to cover for each other in the event of severe illness. I haven’t missed one Wedding in 20 years!


How long after the Wedding before we see our photos?

Most couples prefer us to wait until they have returned from honeymoon.

So your images normally go live on our website about 2 weeks after the Wedding.


Can our guests order prints from you?

Yes. At the Wedding we give out cards to the guest with details of how to view the images on our website, the password and the date the images will go live.


How do we choose what goes in our album?

After the Wedding we supply you with a preview pack with all you need to make your choices and a basic draft album layout.


When will we get our album?

This depends greatly on the enthusiasm of the Bride & Groom to put together their choices to go in to the album. Once we have the basic layout we make a set of proof pages for you to view and approve before we have the album printed.
